Astaxanthin (astaxanthin) is a ketone or carotenoid with pink color, fat-soluble, insoluble in water, and soluble in organic solvents. It is also the highest-grade carotenoid synthesis product, with a deep pink color and a chemical structure similar to β-carotene. And β-carotene, lutein, canthaxanthin, lycopene, etc. are intermediate products of carotenoid synthesis, so in nature, astaxanthin has the strongest antioxidant properties. It is widely present in the biological world, especially in shrimp, crab, fish, algae, yeast and bird feathers. It is one of the main carotenoids in marine organisms.
Natural Astaxanthin Oil
Natural astaxanthin oil is extracted from haematococcus pluvialis through cell disruption with edible alcohol under high temperature and high pressure. According to the feeding experiments in animals and human in Japan, Astabio natural haematococcus pluvialis is very safe for long-term use without any side effects, and can be added into health care products (soft capsules) and cosmetics.
Natural Astaxanthin Aqueous Solution (AW1)
This product is newly developed by Biogenic co. ltd. in Japan, with Astabio as its trademark. The main component of this product is the natural astaxanthin oil extracted from natural haematococcus pluvialis. Animal experiments and human eating trials in Japan have proved that the long-term use of Astabio natural haematococcus pluvialis is very safe without any side effects. It can be applied as a food additive (nonalcoholic beverage, jelly, dairy products, pastries, etc.), and can be added in common food and cosmetics.
Astaxanthin Water-soluble Powder CWS
Astaxanthin water-soluable powder is obtained by emulsification of haematococcus pluvialis extract with water-soluble gum acacia and other constituents; the main component is astaxanthin from haematococcus pluvialis; compared with astaxanthin oil, astaxanthin water-soluble powder is made from water-insoluble astaxanthin oil which is processed for water dissolution and spray dried using emulsification technique; it is orange to red and its water solution is orange red. It can be added in less transparent beverages similar to orange juice. Astaxanthin can be added in neutral or acidic beverages due to the good stability of its emulsion molecule and is more easily absorbed by human bodies.
