--Panax ginseng

Panax Ginseng is a herb perennial herb，it could enhance various physical function of human body, especially in anti-hypertension, anti-inflammation and regulating the immune system. The edible part is the root, it contains many kinds of nutrition including ginsenosides, polysaccharides, volatile oil, amino acids. 

Clinic Application

①First-aid
Frying or stewing of a large dose of Ginseng (0.3-1 Liang), or injection of 2-4 milliliter Ginseng ( 0.57 grams of raw drug per milliliter) could be used for the first-aid of cardiogenic shock or other critically-ill patients.

②For the disease of cardiovascular system
Ginseng has certain effect on the treatment of hypertension, myocardial malnutrition, coronary atherosclerosis, angina, etc. Ginseng could help to adjust the abnormal blood pressure, different dose would has different therapeutic effect, small dose could lift the blood pressure, large dose could decrease the blood pressure. 

③For the stomach and liver Disease
For those who suffered from chronic gastritis (CG) or deficiency of gastric acid, Ginseng could help to increase the gastric capacity and relief their symptoms, but it has no significant effect on the gastric acidity and secretion of gastric juice. It is reported that Ginseng could kill the stomachache and stimulate the appetite, normalize the excrement and increase the gastric acidity. For the acute contiguous hepatitis, Ginseng could help to prevent its transformation into chronic hepatitis. 

④For the diabetes
Ginseng could help to improve the condition of diabetes patients, but it does not change the hyperglycaemia. To put it another way, Ginseng could reduce the urine sugar of mild diabetic patients by 40-50 mill-gram, the effect will continue for over 2 weeks after drug withdrawal; 

⑤For the mental disease
Ginseng could be used to treat the impotent depression regardless of the pathogenesis (Schizophrenia, poisoning or infectious diseases caused by mental illness, degenerative psychosis, etc). 

⑥For the neurasthenia
Ginseng has a significant excitatory effect on the nervous system, it could improve the vitality of human body, relief the fatigue, and it has curative effect on various kind of patients of neurasthenia, it could help the patients to gain weight, kill the symptoms of weakness, headache and insomnia.

⑦For the impotence
In traditional Chinese Medicine, Ginseng is used as invigorator to tonify the vitality, it could also improve the function of gonad. Ginseng tincture has significant curative effect on the paralytic, premature ejaculation impotence, but not mental one.

⑧Others
Ginseng could also improve the vision and dark adaptation. However, the blood-vomiting caused by impulsiveness, try throat caused by dryness-heat, and asthma are prohibited to use the Ginseng.
